About Johanna Axelrod

Johanna Axelrod

From the bottom of Winslow Lake, in Lakewood Wisconsin where I live, to the sky, and the trees in between, I am inspired to paint my vibrant watercolors. Travel throughout Wiconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as well as in Europe, has also influenced my work. I graduated from the University of Minnesota, which was just the beginning of a lifetime of making art. My education continued at the University of Wisconsin, and numerous workshops and classes. Experimentation with various media has marked my work, with a concentration on watercolor the past few years. I've enjoyed teaching at Faith Christian School, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and Homeschoolers. My work has been shown in group and solo shows. The Art Garage;...
